Ok, let me expand: The theory goes that, since Groose was the only other person present at the defeat of Demise, And the only one without any kind of divine power shielding him, HE became the vessel for the last fragment of Demise's soul, and thus reincarnated into Ganondorf. Meaning that Demise not only cursed link and zelda to fight and kill an incarnation of demise's hatred through all eternity, they also have to do the same to their old friend over and over.
…Though, I can see a really interesting fancomic based off of this idea, like an end-of-cycle fancomic where that theory comes into play. Skyward Sword/Groose fans would love. Plus, it’d give the author a chance to do something quite different with Ganondorf’s character.
